mvdmio is built and run by Michiel van der Meer, a seasoned software engineer, architect and team lead with extensive experience in the industrial automation industry. He has honed his skills across the shipping and horticulture sectors, implementing logistics solutions and building the technology behind greenhouse data analysis and climate control systems. That client and employer work is documented on the Resume.

Michiel is currently Tech Lead at Jewel Software, leading the modernisation of a suite of applications for municipality operations.

Alongside that, mvdmio builds and maintains its own product line: Compliance, Translation Tools, Health Check, Statistics and Commonplace — grown out of the same practical, ship-it engineering approach.

Michiel is also a sporadic writer, covering software, teams and remote work on the blog.
